Bio
Dan Cooper is an award-winning multimedia creative from Washington, DC, currently based in Los Angeles. He works as a director, creative director, producer, editor, composer, bassist, and DJ.
His client list includes WBD, PBS, Disney, NFL Network, National Geographic, MTV, BET, VH1, FXX, NBC, ABC, CBS, Viacom, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and the United Nations World Food Programme, among others.
Dan has also held DJ residencies in Washington, DC, at Marvin, Science Club, and the legendary 18th Street Lounge. He has performed at numerous art openings and cultural events, including the Rubell Family Collection’s celebrated 30 Americans opening at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
As a musician, Dan is best known as the bassist for pioneering live hip-hop group 3LG, who performed with Run-DMC, The Roots, KRS-One, Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Jawbox, Naked Raygun, Bernie Worrell, Cameo, Chaka Khan, G. Love, Chuck Brown, Branford Marsalis, and many others.
